Powersoft K series power amplifiers were employed to drive EAW KF line arrays at the Fairy Mountains Music Festival held from August 15th to 16th in Wulong of Chongqing, southwestern city in China. This grand event has included a line-up of famous musicians such as Wu Bai, Chang Chen-yue, Landy Wen and Qin Yong, a leading singer from the seminal Chinese rock band - Black Panther (Hei Bao Yuedui). Six local famous bands from Chengdu and Chongqing also performed at this festival.



For providing better experiences for the audience at the festival, the organizer set a limit to the quantity of the audience and kept it to 5000 people each day.

EAW KF series line arrays were chosen to fulfill the PA demands of the performances. Sixteen EAW KF760 and eight EAW KF740 3-way full range line array modules were hung at the both sides of the stage, eight KF760s and four KF740s per side, addressing the audience at far field and near field. Two EAW UX8800 DSPs were integrated to optimize the acoustic performances of the loudspeaker systems.

The sound system was driven by Powersoft K series class-D amps, including twelve K3 amps and six K10 amps, which were not only able to provide sufficient powers required by the loudspeaker systems, but also able to make an intelligent management of the power supply.
