High End Systems Hog 4 OS v3.0.0发布说明

Installation Instructions
Hog 4 OS consoles running v2.4.0 and greater can be upgraded to v3.0.0 but consoles running older
software versions require a full install of software v3.0.0. Please refer to the Hog 4 OS help manual for
detailed instructions on how to a perform a full install on your console.
DP8000s require a full install in order to upgrade to v3.0.0. Therefore, when upgrading DP8000s via the
console, you must turn on the “enable boot server” option in the HogNet tab of the control panel on the
console. After upgrading a DP8000 to v3.0.0 it will be reset to net number 1, port 6600, and set to Obtain

IP Using DHCP on both the HogNet and FixtureNet adapters.

Hog 4 OS v3.0.0 contains new firmware for all console front panel boards. As a result, after upgrading
the console using the FPSPKG package the front panel will still function as expected but in order for the
front panel firmware to reload to the new firmware version the console must be rebooted. HedgeHog
consoles may also report the wrong console version in the startup animation following the upgrade until
you reboot the console. Finally, be aware that during the first reboot of the console following the upgrade
it may take several seconds for the front panel to load. This is because the front panel is loading new
firmware.

Show File Compatibility

Show files created with or edited using Hog 4 OS v3.0.0 are not compatible with any previous version of
the Hog 4 OS.

New Features and Enhancements:

Plots
Users can now build graphical 2-dimension fixture plots in their show files, allowing for quick and easy
fixture selection and basic feedback. See section 20 of the Hog 4 OS help manual for more details.

Pixel Mapping
Console operators can now use the plot window to create PixelMaps that can then be used to display
video or still image content on fixtures. Custom content is also supported for import into the console for
PixelMapping playback. See section 20.4 of the Hog 4 OS help manual for more details.

Inhibitive Submaster Adjustment using Choose + Encoder
Users can now adjust the intensity level of an inhibitive submaster by holding down the choose key for
that inhibitive submaster (or hold down the onscreen display for that master on the playback bar) and
turning the appropriate main encoder wheel labeled “intensity”. This enables user to be able to adjust
inhibitive submitters assigned to masters that don’t have physical faders.

New Uses for PIG key in File Browser
Holding pig while selecting files or folders in the the file browser now adds those files and/or folders to
the selection one-by-one as if holding the control key on an external keyboard (in previous software
versions hold pig while selecting files and/or folders mimicked holding the shift on a keyboard). Also,
now holding the pig key while selecting a single folder in the file browser will select the folder instead of
entering the folder.

Front Panel HID Mode Improvements
After upgrading the console to v3.0.0 the console front panel will enter HID mode ONLY when Pig+Fan
+Cursor Up are held. If additional keys are held the console will not enter HID mode. Also following the
upgrade the blind key LED will continually blink anytime the console front panel is set to HID mode.

Hog 4 Center Wheel Improvements
The Hog 4 console’s center wheel now adjusts single dmx integer parameters such as media folder and
media file by a value of 1 with each click of the center wheel’s direct control wheel. The center wheel’s
shuttle control wheel still works the same as before.
