China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) is a top-ranked business school located in Shanghai, China. Established under an agreement between the Chinese government and the European Commission, CEIBS is the first business school in Asia to be ranked in the world's Top 10 by the Financial Times. Recently, the sound system of its auditorium has been upgraded with products from EAW、Powersoft and Allen & Heath.　　Including balcony and stalls, the auditorium is designed for high standard performance and large-sized conference with a stage one meter in height, 21 meters in depth and 18.4 meter in proscenium opening. To meet the requirements of such applications as school events, art performances and meetings, the sound system should be able to provide music as well as speech reinforcement with adequate dynamic range for music and great intelligibility for speech.　　　Given these requirements, the technical team from EZPro designed a LCR system as the main PA, using EAW loudspeakers. Each of the LCR array comprises of 2 QX564i three-way trapezoidal loudspeakers. They are installed on the stage proscenium arch to provide even coverage for the two-layer seating area. 4 QX118 subwoofers are employed to provide more bass extension for performance. As the main PA has a relatively higher installation position, 6 MK8196i enclosures are used for front fill to enhance the listening experience of audiences in the front row. For stage monitor, 4 mobile VFM129i full range loudspeakers and 12 permanently- installed MK8196i full range loudspeakers are employed.　　The PA system is driven by Powersoft M and K series amplifiers. The LCR arrays are driven by 2 M14D and 3 K3 amplifiers and the subwoofers by 3 K3 amplifiers. 3 M14D and 1 M20D amplifiers power the front fill and mobile stage monitors and 2 M30D amplifiers power the stage monitors with permanent installation. Besides, 2 EAW UX8800 processors are used to provide loudspeaker systems with optimized digital processing, including EAW Focusing settings.　　For mixing, Allen & Heath iLive-T112 digital mixer is used with iDR-48 MixRack to achieve seamless connection between the control room and the audio room. It allows audio transmission and long distance control of delay in milliseconds, which makes mixers’ work much easier.　　CEIBS is satisfied with the new sound system. It reproduces high quality music for art performance and delivers outstanding speech intelligibility for conference. Every audience is impressed by its amazing performance.
