Organized every second year, the Nu Skin EMEA convention offers inspiring presentations, workshops and activities surrounding the company's products and vision. Held this year in Barcelona with over 3,000 attendees, ASP Event Engineers brought High End Systems SHAPESHIFTER automated luminaires (supplied through AED Distribution) to the main stage, adding visual excitement to the two day event.
ASP's Danielle van Riel comments, "This year, the client chose the Fira Grand Via Exhibition Center in sunny Barcelona. After a successful first collaboration in 2012 in Budapest, we were excited to come
on board a second time as Technical Production Company to make this impressive event happen. Based on the creative ideas concepts of the Belgian agency DDMC and Danish agency Moving ads, ASP engineered this production with a turnkey solution approach.On the team for ASP were Project Manager Christophe van Schoorisse, Head Of Production Tim Michielsen, Lighting Designer Tom Van den Burg and Lighting Programmer Werner Dries. ASP used a dozen W1 SHAPESHIFTERs for this production, hung on drop ladders with four clusters of three SHAPESHIFTERs. Tom explains, "We chose the W1 version because we primarily wanted to use them as aerial effects, having control over the maximal amount of output. For this event's overall look and feel, having an RGB version would not have been that interesting. The company's look and feel is white and somehow futuristic, so the design of the SHAPESHIFTER W1 fits well in their design. The W1's were used to create high power aerial effects, both in single beam mode as well in multi-beam mode. They were also used to create background in camera shots, of course at a lower intensity. The large LED-array and it’s unique shape makes it interesting for camera backgrounds."
